Why do you love UCI?
UCI holds a special place in my heart for many reasons. It’s where I’ve met some of my best friends, been given so many awesome opportunities, and grown into the person I am today. I love walking around campus and remembering the excitement and wonder I had during my first year, and feeling that same sense of excitement about the rest of my time here. It also doesn’t hurt that we have a beautiful campus, especially in the spring when Aldrich is in full bloom!
How can you be a successful Anteater?
Being a successful Anteater means actively seeking new experiences and putting yourself out there, even if it seems scary at first. A successful Anteater challenges themself and strives for personal growth. There’s so many amazing opportunities that UCI offers, so go for it! Most importantly, a successful Anteater creates a healthy and happy academic environment by spreading kindness and being the best person they can be!
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I’m a pretty big music nerd, specifically pertaining to any subgenre of alternative/indie rock. I’m almost always listening to music. Some of my favorite artists at the moment are Alex G, Big Thief/Adrianne Lenker, Surf Curse, Elliott Smith, and Slow Pulp. I’ve also been getting into Ethiopian jazz.
