Why do you love UCI?
It is a privilege to attend an esteemed and rigorous institution that is UCI. I have the honor of studying in majors I’m interested in, attending school with some of my closest friends, and being in a comfortable and safe environment. I love the community that I’m surrounded by and the memories I’ve made with my peers thus far. UCI is a home away from home: not too far from my city and family, and not too close where I haven’t had the opportunity to make the most of my college experience.
How can you be a successful Anteater?
A successful Anteater is open to new experiences and is not afraid of the “what-if’s” and the “maybes.” Life is unexpected, and there’s beauty in jumping head-first into something that could make a positive, ever-lasting impact on your life. Whether that’d be talking to someone you’ve wanted to know on a deeper level, joining a club or applying for a position you’ve been eyeing, or even engaging in a hobby you never expected yourself to enjoy, just go for it. College is a great time to explore, and I think it’s always better to take action than to leave with regret.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I am an avid reader of classic literature, novels, and manga. My favorite genre is romance and sports, and my favorite book is Giovanni’s Room by James Baldwin!
