Why do you love UCI?
I love UCI because it’s just so welcoming! From the classes I’ve taken to extracurriculars like ASUCI, everyone has such a kind soul and all the communities I’m a part of have welcomed me with open arms. The classes and professors here are also incredible, and I’m dreading that it’s my last year here!
How can you be a successful Anteater?
A successful Anteater comes with initiative. Applications are grueling, but to get closer to your goals, dreams, and positions you truly want, you have to take the time to apply and get out of your comfort zone! It wasn’t until my second year, when my professor in community college nudged me to apply to a research conference, that my initiative sparked, so it definitely takes time. But since then, I’ve had over 14 experiences to my name and more, hopefully to come!
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I have six pets! Back at home in Wrightwood, I’ve got three Pomeranians (Thor, Loki, and Hoonie), a Tuxedo cat (Kimchi), a Norwegian forest cat (Cleo), and a Ragdoll cat (Paopao)!
