Why do you love UCI?
I love UCI because of Aldrich Park. The park is the center of campus and every time I walk up the stairs to Langson Library, I’m reminded of the beauty of it. The park is not only a physical attraction, but it’s also a symbolic representation of how everyone at UCI is connected in some way. At the center of a giant circle, the park bridges together so many different buildings and schools. In the same fashion, we are all connected here at UCI.
How can you be a successful Anteater?
To me, a successful Anteater is one that tries. Life is not a linear journey, and life at UCI is no exception. There will be times of failure and where giving up seems like the most appealing choice. It is exactly in those times where you must keep going. The ability to keep going is what will make you a successful Anteater and a successful person no matter where you are.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
A fun fact is that I have been daily journaling for over four years now! I consider myself a sentimental person, so being able to look back at specific days and see what I was doing and feeling is very valuable to me. I would recommend the practice, as it really allows you to reflect and process the many things that happen in a day.
