Why do you love UCI?
UCI is honestly more than just school for me! I’ve made amazing life-long friends here who I’ve gotten to see thrive because of UCI’s different opportunities that cater to a variety of interests and specialties. Not only are the academics great, so is the physical campus itself! As a born-and-raised suburbanite, I’ve only felt at home while walking along Ring Road or around Aldrich Park. All the students and professors here are so kind and open, and I really appreciate what an incredible community UCI has.
How can you be a successful Anteater?
This isn’t sponsored, but “JUST DO IT” is the phrase that I’ve been living by during my time as an Anteater. It’s really just another way of saying for you to get our of your comfort zone. All of the opportunities that I’ve been able to experience and attain were all a result of this phrase. I definitely remember and understand that feeling of being scared before trying something new as well as also doubting myself and my skills; however, I realized I wasn’t achieving what I wanted thinking like this. Instead of thinking, “I’m not sure” or “I’m nervous”, I thought, “I might as well try regardless of the outcome”. There isn’t any harm in trying anything new, and sometimes while trying new, you’ll get to come across an opportunity that may mean the world to you! So, JUST DO IT!
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I’m pretty confident I was a plant in my past life – photosynthesizing on a sunny day is my favorite way to relax and destress!
