Why do you love UCI?
I love that UCI has allowed me to curate my own education—I’ve been able to explore all aspects of performing arts as well as delve into other subjects I’m curious about (like literary journalism!). Besides my major requirements, I feel that I have gained so much experience and knowledge through my electives and outside performing opportunities. Especially in Claire Trevor, where class sizes are small, I’m always able to develop close-knit relationships between peers and professors. Outside of that, I love the people I’ve met through extracurriculars like my acapella group!
How can you be a successful Anteater?
In terms of your education, stay curious and never be afraid to ask for help—there are so many wonderful classes and resources around us to take advantage of. In terms of social and emotional well-being, always practice gratitude and be a kind soul to others (for the moral sake of it rather than any transactional reason!). Also, it’s easier said than done, but find your people! Having that close-knit group of friends you can always rely on makes all the difference,
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I was born with a hole in my heart, so I have a piece of titanium in there that covers it up!
