Why do you love UCI?
I love UCI because of its inclusive and community-centered environment that has been a great source of personal growth for me as a student and an individual. UCI’s many resources and opportunities along with the supportive faculty and welcoming peers I have encountered at UCI are why I continuously grow out of my comfort zone and explore my voice as an interlocutor, writer, and leader. I also love our beautiful campus, which never ceases to make me feel grounded with nature in between classes.
How can you be a successful Anteater?
To me, being a successful anteater is all about honoring your authentic passions and goals while embracing the many resources UCI has to offer. Gaining clarity on your passions and goals can be difficult, but I truly think exploring your interests at student clubs and organizations and taking classes to discover new potential academic interests helps on this journey. I think it is extremely important to show up as you are as a student and to never fear asking for support!
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I love to go to concerts and spend hours perusing the shelves of bookstores in my free time. Phoebe Bridgers is my favorite artist that I have seen live so far, and my favorite bookstore is Powell’s City of Books in Portland, Oregon!
