Why do you love UCI?

I love UCI because it has provided me with plenty of opportunities to grow. As a first-generation student it was scary to come to college and experience something new. Through UCI I was able to join programs that helped me learn new skills and get out of my comfort zone. I’ve had amazing mentors, met incredible staff and students. There are organizations that help students like me. I’ve truly enjoyed all the resources and opportunities I’ve had which is why UCI stands out.

How can you be a successful Anteater?

You can be a successful Anteater by getting involved and trying new things! It can be intimidating but join clubs or try something new. Getting out of your comfort zone can help you find things you never knew you might like or something you’re good at. Go to club meeting, try new sports, etc. This will help you gain more skills! You will also be able to build connections with others which is important and can help you in the long run. UCI is filled with many opportunities, take advantage of them!

What is one fun fact about yourself?
