Why do you love UCI?

I love UCI because of the people! I am a first generation student and leaving my hometown and exploring a new world was scary but on my first day of school I was able to meet so many new people who would later began to play a very important role in my academic journey. Through my experiences, I was able to create a very positive and supportive environment amongst myself and my peers. UCI is just a strong community where we all look for one another.

How can you be a successful Anteater?

The best advice I received for my professors was to not be afraid to ask for help. There are plenty of resources in UCI that are there to help you succeed. All the faculty and staff members AND YOUR PEERS are here to help and support you so do not be afraid to ask for help. Asking for help is one of the best ways to be a successful Anteater.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

A fun fact about myself is that I know how to make beanies. I learned how to make beanies when I was in 4th grade and never stopped since. Whenever I want to take a break from studying, I would grab all my supplies and listen to music and make a beanie. It’s an art I truly appreciate and love so much.
