Why do you love UCI?
I love UCI because of the strong sense of community built by the students and faculty here and the variety of opportunities that are available for students. I believe that there are so many ways to explore your interests and discover new ones as well to grow both academically and personally. The faculty and staff are incredibly supportive, and there are many resources to help students succeed. Also, the campus itself is beautiful, and there’s always something happening to bring students together.
How can you be a successful Anteater?
To be a successful Anteater, you should be willing to step out of your comfort zone because all of the wonderful opportunities here, like clubs, research, internships, and various events on campus, are incredibly useful, and taking advantage of them can lead to both personal and professional growth. It’s also important to seek support when needed, and a lot of the time students aren’t aware of all the resources that can help them, so reaching out, whether to professors, advisors, or peer mentors, can be very beneficial to success both in academics and well-being. Generally, it’s important to be open, engaged, and enthusiastic to make the most of your time here at UCI.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
A fun fact about me is that I love birds! All animals, of course, but birds especially, and specifically ducks and pigeons. I currently have 5 pet birds, all cockatiels, and they are the cutest ever, I will show you so many pictures. I also greatly enjoy owning and caring for plants and hope to fill my house with them in the future!
