Why do you love UCI?
I love UCI because it’s in Southern California, so you get amazing weather and easy access to all the beaches you could want. Along with the location, the campus environment is welcoming, which makes it a great place to hang out and study. UCI also offers loads of opportunities with nearby companies and proximity to other major Southern California cities, which is perfect for building connections for future careers. Overall, the diverse community at UCI brings together many different perspectives and understandings which enhances the overall experience you have as a student.
How can you be a successful Anteater?
To be a successful Anteater, it’s important to develop strong time management skills when it comes to balancing coursework, extracurricular activities, and personal time effectively. Staying organized and keeping track of deadlines using planners or digital calendars can prevent last-minute stress and improve academic performance. Engaging actively in classes, participating in discussions, and seeking help when needed are also key to finding your groove as an Anteater. Additionally, it is important to have a supportive network of friends who can provide emotional support outside of an academic setting, which is vital for navigating the challenges college can bring.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
A fun fact about myself is that I have lived in four different states throughout my life. I was born in Florida and lived there for a short time before my family and I moved to Austin, Texas, where I was raised for most of my childhood. During the summer before my freshman year of high school, we had to relocate to Washington State for my dad’s job. I now live in California for school but have grown up in a variety of places.
