Why do you love UCI?

I really love UCI because everyone I’ve met is so unique and there is such a wide variety of experiences and interests here! Whatever you enjoy, there is always someone else who is interested in it too and is willing to talk to you about it. I also like how everyone is really excited about what they study and their other involvements, because it is very refreshing to be around people who love what they do. Lastly, I also really like the campus and think it’s beautiful here.

How can you be a successful Anteater?

Being successful at UCI can mean a lot of different things, but I think when it comes to academics, it’s important to make decisions that involve self-reflection. Try to sign up for classes (& extracurriculars) that align with your values and interests! I’ve found that, if you genuinely enjoy what you’re studying it makes classes very fun and you’ll already be motivated to want to learn more and go the extra mile. Which is why it is important to try new things and explore what you’re interested in so you can find what keeps you curious!

I also think it’s important to find people outside of classes that help support you on a personal level. Having a support system and hobbies outside of school that make you happy and keep you grounded is really important for success as well!

What is one fun fact about yourself?

I like trying out new activities when I have free time, which in the past have been hat knitting, running, and making my own boba 🙂
