Why do you love UCI?
I love UCI because it has become a safe home away from home. As a first-generation college student, the idea of navigating college was very daunting, but thanks to various programs and resources on campus, I have surrounded myself with a community of friends and mentors who have empowered me to step out of my comfort zone and grow academically, personally, and professionally. I’ve truly enjoyed all of the opportunities I’ve had the honor of experiencing while at UCI, and I will treasure all of the memories I’ve made during my time here.
How can you be a successful Anteater?
You can be a successful Anteater by having the courage to explore various opportunities to get involved on campus, whether through clubs, programs, jobs, or research opportunities. It is within these spaces that you will cultivate relationships with amazing people and mentors, which are essential as you progress your journey at UCI. There are many resources and opportunities available to UCI students, so it’s a matter of taking initiative and actively seeking them out!
What is one fun fact about yourself?
A fun fact about me is that I love to read, and I’m always looking for books to add to my never ending TBR list!
