Why do you love UCI?
I love UCI as I have been able to create a community here with people that allow me to grow as a student and as a person. The students, faculty, and staff are incredibly supportive and are always seeking out new ways to ensure your success. I also enjoy the scenery on campus as it is constantly evolving with different greenery and with the seasons. There is always a new place to explore or to relax and enjoy the sun.
How can you be a successful Anteater?
To be a successful anteater, being vulnerable and open for help is key. College is a whole new world that can be difficult to navigate and being able to ask for help is essential in making life a little easier. It also means putting yourself in uncomfortable positions at times whether that’s contacting professors, having interviews, or making new friends. But it is also comforting knowing that whatever step you take, there will always be someone at every level waiting to help you so long as it is sought out.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I’ve played the violin for 10 years! I’ve done all types of music groups and have even traveled internationally to play. At one point, I wanted to professionally pursue music but opted to keep it as a hobby. Nowadays, I live vicariously by watching performances instead.
