Why do you love UCI?

UCI is the one place that truly pushes you to grow, and it has helped me realize my potential through the years. It’s interesting to know you’re attending a school with celebrities in academia, and you’ll encounter some of the most brilliant individuals during your time here. I adore the UCI community because most of the people you’ll meet are overwhelmingly supportive and friendly. There is also an abundance of food options around Irvine, which is something no one can complain about!

How can you be a successful Anteater?

Seize any opportunity that comes your way even if you don’t think you are 100% qualified. Attending an institution like UCI is undoubtedly challenging, so it is crucial to recognize that you are not the only one facing difficulties. It is always okay to ask for help and take advantage of the resources available on campus. While it is important to focus on your studies, you should also balance it out by spending time with family and friends.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

A fun fact about me is that I have a fraternal twin sister who also attends UCI. It was easy for people to differentiate between the two of us when we were young since I had a big, bright birthmark below my lip. As I grew older, the birthmark faded and is no longer visible. Some people now think we are identical twins and struggle to tell us apart!
