Why do you love UCI?

I love UCI because we are given a lot of opportunities and resources in order to grow personally and professionally. When I first entered college, I was very set on becoming a therapist, but UCI showed me that I can do many things outside of my major. I was fortunate enough to join the research team under the Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice and this is where I discovered that I have the potential to become a great researcher. We are also given a lot of academic support through programs such as the Peer Academic Advisor Program, Peer Academic Consultant, and workshops dedicated to boost our academic excellence.

How can you be a successful Anteater?

I believe that there is no one size fits all or an exact roadmap when it comes to becoming a successful Anteater. Some advice that I can give that can help you along the way is to never be afraid to ask for help, Whether that may be from your PAAs, your professors, or peers. Second, never be afraid to push yourself out of your limits. Putting yourself out of your comfort zone can help you discover abilities within yourself that you never knew you could do which can lead to self growth. Finally, just have fun! Both socially and academically. Take the classes that you have always been interested in, join clubs, and get involved with the intentions of giving back to the community.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

I was an only child for 13 years and now have a little brother who is 9 years old while I’m 22. We have a really good relationship and I love him so much!
