Why do you love UCI?

I love UCI because it is a place of many opportunities- whether it’s involvement in clubs, research, and/or extracurriculars, every student is able to find a place of belonging. Additionally, I love how easy it is to make friends both in your own program and outside of it. You can connect with people over academic passions as well as something simple- like a common love for board games.

How can you be a successful Anteater?

To be a successful Anteater- put yourself out there! Don’t be afraid to try new things and extend outside of your comfort zone. Life will be different than what you are used to, but this can be a good thing! Focus on succeeding in your academic classes, and also get involved with at least one extracurricular to broaden your horizons of what’s possible.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

One fun fact about myself is that I really enjoy discussing zombie-apocalypse survival scenarios. I find it really interesting to hear different decisions on situations where there is more than one ‘right’ answer, and to consider the implications of these moral codes into our current non-zombie-apocalypse lives. Discussing zombies with others leads to a greater understanding of how our experiences shape our individual viewpoints.
