Why do you love UCI?

I love UCI because of its unique student culture that breeds student-led innovation and community. My favorite UCI cultural tradition is Petr Sticker drops and how excited the entire campus gets with each drop. There are Petrs that cater to every sort of interest/hobby on campus and are especially unique since all the designs are made by current students or alumni! Student organizations also add to UCI’s unique culture with their constant on-campus and off-campus activities (gotta love all the club’s going to the beach for bonfires)!

How can you be a successful Anteater?

The best way to be a successful Anteater is to make as many friends as possible from every part of campus. To grow as an Anteater and make the most of your time on campus, you need a strong, stable support structure. Maintaining a diverse array of friendships across the 14 different schools on campus allows Anteaters to employ multidisciplinary solutions and perspectives to problem-solving. Something more important than academics is your mental wellness; having that support system ensures you’ll thrive as an Anteater.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

I have been to around 36 different countries due to my mom and I’s annual foreign vacation tradition. My favorite destination is Russia since it has such rich cultural traditions and history with a stunning food culture to match (I feed my history and food addiction via travel!). I have been to Russia twice, the first time visiting St. Petersburg and Moscow, the second time riding the Trans-Siberian Railway from Moscow to Yekaterinburg to Irkutsk to Ulaan-Batar in Mongolia to Beijing in China (I collectively spent four weeks in Russia between those two trips). I made so many friends around Russia, Mongolia, and China during that trip, many of whom my mom and I still exchange emails with!
