Why do you love UCI?
UCI has honestly been my dream school ever since I was little, and now as a 3rd year, it’s everything I was hoping for and so much more! There are so many ways for you to become involved, and it’s an understatement to say that I have really found my home at here! I’ve had so many opportunities to meet people from all walks of life and make meaningful friendships :’) Campus is also super gorgeous, and you probably won’t get lost since it’s just a circle. I also just love the city of Irvine, especially all the greenery and how big the roads are. Plus, there are sooo many good restaurants and boba shops near UCI – what else can you really ask for?
How can you be a successful Anteater?
As cliche as it might sound, please don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and step out of your comfort zone! When I first entered UCI, I knew that I wanted to become involved in different clubs, and to this day, it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. There are so many cool orgs, classes, and resources on campus that you might never really know about if you don’t try it out in the first place. You might be surprised to learn that your 4 years here really flies by sooo quickly (how am I already a third year), so make the most of your time here! You never know who might become some of your closest friends from just seeing them once or twice a week through club meetings 🙂
What is one fun fact about yourself?
Before I moved here from Vietnam, I used to think America was a fridge…. (it really isn’t)
