Why do you love UCI?

I love UCI for the wonderful community it has surrounded me with. Through classes and extracurriculars, I have developed lasting relationships with friends, mentors, and professors. These people have allowed me to grow both academically and personally, making me a more well-rounded student and a thriving anteater.

How can you be a successful Anteater?

Being a successful anteater requires you to get involved and seek out experiences rather than expecting them to come to you. Over the past few years at UCI I’ve taken the initiative to put myself out there, both academically and socially. As a result, I’ve been able to become a part of various campus organizations, a research position, athletics, and surrounded myself with a wonderful group of friends.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

A fun fact about myself is that I am extremely passionate about traveling and unique experiences outside of my community and country. My parents have instilled in me that the best gift they’ve ever given me is a passport and the ability to immerse myself in other cultures in many different countries around the globe. I’ve been fortunate enough to visit all seven continents and interact with everyday people in order to understand their lifestyles and how they differ from our own in the United States.
