Why do you love UCI?
UCI is made of up a diverse community of students that makes the campus an exciting and inclusive space for self-growth and self-discovery. Whether you are looking to get involved in academic research, invest in your professional development, or join a campus organization, UCI is full of opportunities! Despite being a recent transfer student, my short time here so far has allowed me to meet so many inspiring and supportive people who have added joy and meaning to my college experience.
How can you be a successful Anteater?
Pursue the things that bring you joy and fulfillment! While academics are a huge part of your life as a student, investing in your personal and social life is just as important to your overall success and well-being. While it can be scary to join new things or put yourself out there, you owe it to yourself to pursue your interests wholeheartedly and to take on opportunities that come your way. That organization meeting you are thinking of going to or that professor you’ve been wanting to reach out to may just be the encounter that transforms your college experience and leads you to a community of people that you can call home. Finally, don’t be afraid to seek help, there are so many people and resources more than willing to support you throughout your journey here at UCI.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I have been to over 20 (and counting!) national/tribal parks within the U.S. and Canada.
