Why do you love UCI?
I absolutely love UCI because of its beautiful campus and people! Everyone here is so friendly and makes school fun. Walking to class with the friends I made here makes life here at UCI enjoyable. I love learning about all of the different backgrounds and cultures I meet here as well!
How can you be a successful Anteater?
To be a successful Anteater, don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone! Whether that be expanding your social circle or the types of classes you take, it will help you expand your horizons so take advantage of it while you can. Make sure you also take care of your mental health and wellbeing. Take time to yourself to do things you love as well as reach out to those you trust or the counseling center at UCI. Remember that you are not alone here at UCI!
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I am a true band nerd at heart! I have been playing musical instruments since I was nine and still play (but pls don’t ask me to play off beats D:). I have played the trumpet, tuba, trombone, sousaphone, and the euphonium and I was on the band council at my high school for three years. I am also apart of a local Portuguese community band that took me around California and Portugal to do performances and marches.
