Personal Biography

Why do you love UCI?

The biggest reason I love UCI is the loving and welcoming environment I felt from the first day I was on campus as a prospective student. When I came to Celebrate UCI, I was nervous being around peers who had a vision for college and life after. I felt out of place being at college when I had no idea what I wanted to study and what sort of career I wished to have. But after meeting students and faculty on campus, I felt support and encouragement at a time when I needed it most. That welcoming environment made me come to UCI, and I want to contribute to the cultivation of that environment.

How can you be a successful Anteater?

Students can become successful Anteaters by challenging themselves to grow and learn more about themselves and others. While it is important in college to strive to do well academically, it’s more important to take time during college to try new things on campus. At a place like UCI, there are so many wonderful courses, organizations, and communities to explore. You never know what class, what club, or what person might spark a new passion in you or a new perspective on life. Therefore, it’s important that we seek out new experiences to challenge ourselves and what we know. Plus, it’s always fun to try something new!

What is one fun fact about yourself?

I love expanding my wardrobe with new clothes and accessories! My go-to things to buy are knit sweaters, funky patterned blouses, earrings, and sneakers. It’s so much fun trying new clothes!
