Personal Biography

Why do you love UCI?

First of all, how can you not love UCI? We are a top tier university with an amazing campus, gorgeous weather, and a quick drive away from The Happiest Place On Earth! More importantly, I love how UCI is filled with many opportunities for students to discover themselves – from research programs to the many campus organizations. There is truly something for everyone at UCI! I have met some of my best friends and mentors through the clubs UCI has to offer. I came into UCI thinking I was going to pursue one career and ended up discovering other careers because of the pre-health clubs I was in. At UCI, your possibilities are endless!

How can you be a successful Anteater?

One way to be a “successful Anteater” is that you cannot be afraid to try new things. Sometimes, you need to step out of your comfort zone a little to be successful! For me, stepping out of my comfort zone included reaching out to professors and taking advantage of UCI’s resources when I needed extra help. I used to think that if I needed more help than my peers, it meant I wasn’t as good of a student or as strong or independent. But, UCI’s resources are here for a reason – so take advantage of all of them. Attend Peer Tutoring, seek advise from counselors, attend office hours with your professors! These resources are here to help you succeed. And even if you fail the first time around, you should learn from your mistakes and improve yourself. We all fail – but it’s all about how you bounce back!

What is one fun fact about yourself?

I have the most random music taste. I love everything from pop to hip hop to oldies to hard rock to country … yes, I said country! And if I hear a song I like, watch out because I will start dancing, and I’ll most likely get you to dance with me!
