Personal Biography
Why do you love UCI?
I love how UCI offers so many unique opportunities that allow every student to explore different passions. The level of commitment for student success, with an emphasis on student-led initiatives, all contribute to UCI’s welcoming environment that encourages students to pursue new paths and take on challenges. Also, there are vast resource offices available on campus that make the transition to higher education more accessible and easier to navigate, which I found especially crucial as a first-generation college student. UCI has truly become a home away from home and am grateful that I’ve been able to find a community that is uplifting!
How can you be a successful Anteater?
One of the most important pieces of advice I could give students is to become involved on campus! Building those connections with your peers, professors, staff and others at UCI is valuable for surrounding yourself with passionate and driven community members. Developing that support system is useful for managing all the aspects that come with college life. Also, make sure that you enjoy your time at UCI by finding a healthy balance and let yourself take a break. I believe these will allow you to become the best Anteater you can be!
What is one fun fact about yourself?
A fun fact about me is that I love collecting smiskis. I currently have 28, but I’m always looking to add to my collection with the figures I haven’t unboxed yet!
