Personal Biography
Why do you love UCI?
The people and the location are two main reasons why I love UCI. I didn’t know anyone coming into UCI, but I have made lifelong friends thanks to the clubs I joined and the connections I made throughout my two years here. The people I have surrounded myself with, who have motivated me professionally and inspired me personally, have definitely made UCI feel like home. It is also amazing that the campus is extremely easy to navigate and that our university town center is right across the bridge, which is highly convenient. There is always something to do here, whether having a bonfire at the beach or exploring the variety of cafes!
How can you be a successful Anteater?
While everyone defines success differently, taking advantage of the resources available to you can help your path to success become much smoother. If you are reading this, you may have already started looking into one resource, which is peer academic advisors. UCI and Merage offer various opportunities to support your growth, so it is important to be open and receptive to them. It may be nerve-wracking initially to start a new chapter in your life, but it will get easier, so don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and try something new.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
A fun fact about myself is that I have run two half marathons in the past 6 months as someone who used to hate running!
