Personal Biography
Why do you love UCI?
I love UCI for its welcoming and diverse environment. It’s a place where collaboration is encouraged, and there are so many resources, especially if you are a first-generation student like me. The campus itself is beautiful, full of vibrant nature (and the squirrels always make me smile). After a tough exam, I like to sit in Aldrich Park and bask in the sun, as it helps me reset. I also value UCI because my wonderful roommates and friends are here, and they truly make it feel like a second home.
How can you be a successful Anteater?
To be a successful Anteater, I’ve learned that using the resources available to you is really important. I used to have a hard time asking for help, but I’ve come to understand that those resources are there for a reason. Whether it’s academic, personal, or professional support, it’s never wrong to ask for help. Doing so can make a big difference in your experience at UCI.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
A fun fact about me is that I was born in Vietnam and immigrated to the United States at 8 years old.
