Why do you love UCI?
I love UCI because of the supportive, diverse community here. I am grateful for the patience and grace of my peers, faculty, and mentors that have guided me through my academic journey and nurtured my interest in public health. I love the special events and activities hosted by clubs and organizations that have helped me connect with so many people and step out of my comfort zone. I especially love the moments I am able to spend in Aldrich to enjoy nature.
How can you be a successful Anteater?
A successful Anteater is someone who is bold. Whether it’s applying for a research position, an internship, or even joining a club, there is an opportunity for everyone to grow and connect at UCI. While navigating these opportunities may seem overwhelming at first, there is a community of supportive mentors and peers whose goal is to uplift and guide you through your journey. Ultimately, the best piece of advice I can give is to enjoy your time here, prioritize your mental and physical health, and take a shot at every experience you come across!
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I love to read books and compare them to their on-screen adaptations. I love hearing my family and friends’ perspectives and having a discussion about the larger implications of the director’s choices.
