Personal Biography
Why do you love UCI?
I believe UCI creates a nice learning environment for me, both campus-wise and staff and faculty wise. As a transfer student I find UCI very adaptable for newcomers, with all the services available on campus that always provide support when I need. The faculties, especially all my instructors so far, are very approachable and willing to help. Also, love the weather (except when it’s raining).
How can you be a successful Anteater?
I think the top quality to be successful for me, after some years in college, is to overcome your fear and ask when needed. People tend to be afraid to ask questions for various reasons, which leads to their problems unsolved. Plus, everything is a learning experience, whether in or outside of college, so I always (almost shamelessly) ask anything that I feel needs to be clarified, and it’s been helping me a lot. Also, never leave any work close to deadline and always stay ambitious.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I love playing video games, and I do play a lot of them. Video games to me are not just a form of entertainment, but they are stories being told. Some games are very cinematic, have well-written plots and storylines that they actually inspire me to become a writer – I want to be able to write stories just as good as that. They are like watching movies, but I can directly experience the whole thing rather than viewing it from the third perspective.
