Personal Biography

Why do you love UCI?

I love the diversity of UCI. I can broaden my social circle by meeting people from different cultural backgrounds. At the same time, UCI emphasizes on research study a lot and provides me with a lot of research opportunities. Most of the professors are passionate about their research fields and welcome undergraduate students to involve in research. Lastly, I love UCI’s high level of security, which helps me concentrate on my school work and I feel protected on campus.

How can you be a successful Anteater?

Success can have different definitions and multiple factors can affect whether a person can achieve success or not. Academically speaking, attending every lecture, taking notes, doing homework in a timely manner, and utilizing campus resources are all crucial factors that can help me succeed. From a social perspective, being proactive in participating different events helps me build connections with people who specialize in different areas. Having conversations with them practices my social skills and broadens my horizon. You will never know what kind of amazing people you will meet at UCI. Also, helping people in need can generate a joyful feeling, and that feeling represents success. A success belongs to both myself and the other.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

Some students might get tired if they eat the same kind of food every day, but I do not. I love eating at UCI’s dining halls. In the past two years, I had meals Brandywine and Anteatery every day and I never felt tired of their food.
