Personal Biography

Why do you love UCI?

I love UCI because it has offered me the opportunity to meet so many amazing people who have helped me learn and grow. I get to work with professors who are at the top in their field, whether I am learning musical theatre dance or quantum mechanics. I am so grateful to be a part of Claire Trevor School of the Arts in particular because we get the space to work with successful professionals in the field who truly want us to grow and succeed. I can honestly say that I am proud to be a student here because everyone I have met pushes me to be a better version of myself and I know that I push my fellow students to succeed in the same way. I have met so many amazing students and faculty, with every single one of them being just as passionate about learning as I am. This campus truly brings together people from all over who have the singular goal of becoming better students, people, and Anteaters.

How can you be a successful Anteater?

The best way to be a successful Anteater is to join clubs, talk to your professors, and interact with everyone in your classes! Everyone at UCI is here to learn and grow, and the most fun and enlightening experiences I have had are those that were shared with new friends. Don’t be afraid to get out of your comfort zone a little (and trust me, as an introvert I know that’s scary) because you just might find a new life-long friend by accident! Let yourself be passionate about the things you love because there will always be an Anteater by your side who loves it just as much. The best way to be a successful Anteater is to let yourself explore anything and everything that you have ever found interesting or exciting because you never know what opportunities are coming your way!

What is one fun fact about yourself?

A really fun fact about myself is that I love to learn wacky skills just for the sake of it; I can roller-skate, juggle, dance en pointe, and even do some beginner breakdancing! I am hoping to continue to get better at break dancing, but I would also like to learn how to do some gymnastics and maybe even ride a unicycle. I think it’s very exciting to be a jack-of-all-trades, especially when I get the chance to pull one of my skills out of nowhere to entertain people. I really do enjoy pushing myself to keep growing as a person, and for me that usually takes the form of extremely weird and specific talents!
